Transport and logistics
FOR TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS
Fuel and drivers every week. Customers pay in 30 to 60 days.
Fuel, tolls, rego and wages leave the account every week. The money for those loads arrives a month or two later. We look at your customers, your fleet and your growth, then find funding that is set up around that gap.

SOUND FAMILIAR?
The trucks run every day. The money doesn’t.
Fuel goes out daily. Fuel, tolls and drivers are paid every week. Customers pay on 30 to 60 day terms, sometimes longer.
The trucks are paid off, but cash is tight. The equity is in the fleet, not a house. Some lenders can use paid-off trucks and trailers to free up working capital.
An ATO plan is eating your cash. Instalments plus ATO interest, which is no longer tax deductible, add up month after month.
A new contract needs another truck. Growth means buying gear and hiring drivers before the new work pays.
One breakdown changes the month. Repairs, rego and insurance renewals never land at a good time.

WHAT IT CAN LOOK LIKE
A new contract, a longer wait
Illustrative scenario
A family-owned transport business wins a regional distribution contract on 60 day terms. It needs two more drivers and another prime mover, and fuel costs jump straight away. The trucks it already owns are paid off. The owner talks through funding against the new customer’s invoices, plus options that use the equity in the existing fleet, set up before the first run.
QUESTIONS
Common questions
Can I use my trucks rather than my house as security?
Sometimes. Some lenders will lend against paid-off trucks, trailers and other equipment. The age, condition and value of the fleet all matter.
Can you help if we’re on an ATO payment plan?
Possibly. Some lenders consider businesses with an ATO debt or payment plan. We won’t promise to clear an ATO debt, but we’ll look at what is realistic for your business.
What do I need to have ready?
Usually your ABN, recent business account statements, an aged debtors list, your main customer contracts, details of your fleet and ID for the directors. Your broker confirms the list.
Do my customers need to be businesses?
For invoice funding, usually yes. Lenders look at who pays your invoices, so business and government customers work best.
What does it cost and how do you get paid?
Costs depend on the lender, the product and your business. Your broker explains every fee and cost before you decide. We may be paid a commission by the lender or charge a fee, and we tell you before you apply. Subject to lender approval; fees and terms apply.
Tell us what’s going on.
A short call is usually enough to see whether funding could help now, and how it could be set up for what comes next. No obligation. Business purposes only. Subject to lender approval; fees and terms apply.
