One large slow invoice
ONE LARGE SLOW INVOICE
One big client. One big invoice. A long wait.
A single invoice on 60 to 120 day terms can hold up your whole business. We look at the client, the invoice and your cash flow, then find funding that may release cash before the due date.

SOUND FAMILIAR?
One invoice is holding up your whole month.
Terms are 60 to 120 days. Big clients set the terms, and you wait.
Most of your income sits in one place. When that client is slow, everything is slow.
You have already paid for the work. Staff, stock and subcontractors were paid weeks ago.
You can’t afford to push back. You want to keep the client, so you don’t chase too hard.
Your terms are 90 days. Payroll is fortnightly. Six or seven pay runs go out before one invoice is paid.
Traditional invoice finance wants your whole ledger. Some facilities want every invoice, lock-in terms and limits on any one customer. That doesn’t suit one big job.

WHAT IT CAN LOOK LIKE
A large invoice on 90 day terms
Illustrative scenario
A specialist fit-out business completes a large job for a national retailer on 90 day terms. Wages and suppliers are already paid, and the next job starts in two weeks. The owner talks through funding against that single approved invoice instead of a loan over the whole business. Illustrative example only, not a real client. Every business is assessed on its own circumstances and lender criteria.
QUESTIONS
Common questions
Can I fund just one invoice?
Yes. Some lenders fund a single approved invoice, rather than your whole debtor ledger. It depends on your client, the invoice and your business.
Will my client know?
It depends on the product. Some are confidential and some notify your client. Your broker explains the difference before you choose.
What do I need to have ready?
Usually your ABN, the invoice and contract or purchase order, recent business account statements and ID for the directors. Your broker confirms the list.
Single invoice or a whole-ledger facility?
If it’s one big invoice, single-invoice funding can make sense. If big invoices are regular, a broader facility may cost less over time. We compare both.
Does my customer need to be a business or government body?
Usually, yes. Invoice funding generally needs a creditworthy business or government customer, not consumers.
Am I locked into a contract?
Some facilities have minimum terms or exit fees; others don’t. We show you the terms before you sign.
What does it cost and how do you get paid?
Costs depend on the lender, the product and your business. Your broker explains every fee and cost before you decide. We may be paid a commission by the lender or charge a fee, and we tell you before you apply. Subject to lender approval; fees and terms apply.
Tell us what’s going on.
A short call is usually enough to see whether funding could help now, and how it could be set up for what comes next. No obligation. Business purposes only. Subject to lender approval; fees and terms apply.
